Organized by the Chinese Paper Industry Chamber of Commerce (CPICC), the event was sponsored by all the major pulp suppliers in China, including CMPC, an official member of the CPICC. This year's theme was "Recovery, Challenges vs Momentum," reflecting the challenges and opportunities facing the industry in the post-pandemic era. The event included a main conference on March 22nd, with 27 speakers and panel guests invited to address the audience on a range of topics. Among the speakers were Tom Wright, Managing Director of Hawkins Wright, who discussed the prospects for the pulp and paper market in the post-pandemic era, and Brian McClay, President of TTOBMA, who talked about the risks and opportunities in emerging pulp markets under climate change. Foreign speakers and guests were able to attend the event due to China reopening its borders. The conference addressed key issues such as the impact of China's paper overcapacity and declining demand on pulp prices, the rapid increase of China's domestic pulp production, and the main paper industry and market trends in China.
