The aim was to ensure the entire company is aligned with the strategy in order to advance along the path of being a customer centric company. To build on the next 100 years of our history, it is important that we work as one team if we are to fulfil our 2030 strategy. It was in this context, and with the aim of aligning the entire company around the Customers pillar of the strategy, that we held the Commercial Summit 2023. Guilherme Viesi, CMPC Pulp’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: "This meeting seeks to align all CMPC employees around one of the five pillars of our strategy, and to identify common lines of work between the different areas of the company to be able to get closer to our customers. We want to 'permeate' their needs and the realities of each market throughout the company." Some 90 employees from CMPC Maderas, Biopackaging and Pulp participated in the event, in addition to representatives of our international offices in China, the USA and Europe. The programme included a presentation by Tom Wright, Managing Director of Hawkins Wright, one of the leading analysts of the pulp industry, who explained the challenging market scenario for the coming years. He was joined by several members of the Pulp Commercial Management team who covered a range of relevant topics including the guidelines for the 2030 commercial strategy, the important role of international offices and the strategy for new products. In addition to the presentations, participants worked collaboratively through various recreational activities and team building to strengthen ties between the CMPC Maderas, Biopackaging and Pulp businesses.
