Tell us more about your experience and relationship with CMPC. When did you start working in the pulp market? I started working in the pulp market in 2007, when I joined Northern Pulp, the old-time agent of CMPC covering the markets of Spain and Portugal. How do you feel with this new challenge of being part of CMPC? It’s exciting to belong to a large corporation, covering so many applications of the forestry industry. I will for sure learn a lot and I’m happy to contribute to the project. CMPC is working in its 2030 strategy, where internationalization is part of our goals. What is your role in the internationalization plan of CMPC? I’ll contribute with my knowledge of the European market as well as with my deep interest in product development on new pulp and paper applications. There are many exciting projects going on in Europe at the moment where I’m sure CMPC will have an excellent contribution. Given the current situation, how do you evaluate CMPC´s approach in the European market? The last years have been difficult for all of us, with many changes to adapt to. For our industry these changes have also meant an opportunity for getting into new products and providing new solutions for a more environmental responsible and conscious society. CMPC is becoming a key provider adapting their products and services to this new era of our industry. What do you think are the biggest challenges for CMPC Europe in the future? Adapting fast and smoothly is not always easy for a large corporation. We will need to stay sharp and open to all opportunities the market provides to demonstrate CMPC’s ability to deliver up its highest possibility. For that it will be necessary to have all teams across the company work together and trust each other. The market will continue to be competitive with most players also redefining its value proposition. Staying close to the customer and understanding its needs will be crucial to provide the best possible product and service. Print Categories:Interviews Please login or register to post comments.
