Through significant and demonstrable action on climate and deforestation risks, Empresas CMPC, is leading on corporate environmental ambition, action and transparency worldwide. “At CMPC we are very proud of having been included on CDP's A List once again this year. A detailed and independent methodology is used by CDP to assess these companies, allocating a score of A to D- based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. Those that don’t disclose or provided insufficient information are marked with an F. Regarding CMPC's results and the prestigious position it holds, it is worth noting that in the Forestry questionnaire worldwide only 13 companies obtained an A score, CMPC being the only one in Chile and part of the 4 within the American continent; in the Climate Change questionnaire worldwide only 117 companies obtained an A score, forming the select group of 37 companies in America and the only one in Chile; finally, in terms of water safety, CMPC obtained an A- score, this being the best score in Chile.
