The company was recognized as the largest in the Pulp and Paper sector in the South region of Brazil and the best in the segment's Ebitda margin

CMPC was ranked as the largest company in the southern region of Brazil in the Pulp and Paper sector by the Valor 1000 yearbook – 2021 edition. Also in the segment, the company was ranked 1st in Ebitda Margin (English acronym for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and also in Interest Coverage.

Among the criteria taken into account for the rankings are net revenue as a parameter and financial performance data, such as Ebitda itself. CMPC's other positions in the sector's financial indicators were: 5th place in Net Revenue, 6th place among the companies with the best scores and 8th place in Activity Margin and also in Current Liquidity.

According to the general director of CMPC in Brazil, Mauricio Harger, “this award represents the effort of a company that values ​​quality and continuous improvement. CMPC has a structured financial policy, which is based on the adoption of modern corporate governance practices alongside the pursuit of social and environmental results”. He also highlights that the results largely stem from the company's purpose based on the 3 C's: Create innovative solutions from cellulose, Live with neighboring communities, developing actions that promote education, income generation and quality of life, and conserving natural resources through proper environmental management.

Valor 1000

The publication highlights the thousand companies that stood out in accounting and financial management and performance. The Valor 1000 yearbook is an advisory reference for executives, leaders and interested parties and can promote business for the companies involved.

The publication collects, tabulates, analyzes and compares information based on net revenue and performance measures. It is the only national publication with in-depth analysis among companies with comparable rankings, consolidated financial statements, revenue by net revenue and other strategic items. The analyzes are carried out by accounting and financial professionals from the Valor Econômico newspaper, Serasa Experian and the Finance Study of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
