Highlighting the role of women in the forest industry and topics of innovation and digital technology, our Company was present at the 56th edition of the event held in São Paulo, which gathered major companies from the sector.

Bibiana Rubini, CMPC’s Director of Research, Development, and Bioeconomy, was highlighted during the Women’s Forum, a space dedicated to discussing the importance of female connections in the development of professionals in the industry. "I am a woman, a chemical engineer, a leader, and a mother of an autistic child. For me, having a space for discussion is very important to advance this agenda. It is gratifying to see a place full of people interested in listening and reflecting on how we can drive meaningful changes and inspire other women to achieve their goals in a sector that is still predominantly male", commented Bibiana.

During the event, other CMPC employees presented innovative cases and projects focused on topics such as artificial intelligence, innovation, the environment, and sustainability. Additionally, the Factory Competitiveness team was also present at the Congress, where they showcased several digital products developed internally within the company. Among the products presented were a model for preventing sheet breaks in drying machines, the Optimized Plant Balancing model, Carta Farol, and Cooking Mind. The cases presented place us at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Process Control in our industry.

The event provided a unique opportunity for CMPC to establish connections, discuss trends, and stay updated on the best practices in the industry. The congress addressed topics such as digital transformation, circularity, ESG, sustainability, and innovation, all of which are crucial for the future of the pulp and paper industry.
